After the success of Five Nights at Freddy’s, Blumhouse will almost definitely produce a sequel, bringing more characters, game moments, and locations to the big screen. After years in development hell, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie finally hit the big screens at the end of October 2023. The movie follows a night security guard named Mike who takes on a job watching Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. He quickly learns that the murderous animatronics come to life at night, putting himself and others in danger.

Critics may have chastised the movie, but fans of the eponymous video game franchise turned out at theaters, helping Five Nights at Freddy’s break box office records. Given its massive success, there’s a good chance that the production company Blumhouse will green-light a sequel. If they bring Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 to the big screen, there are numerous story elements and Five Nights at Freddy’s characters they can pull from the video games, offering up more fan service.

This disastrous event influences the plot of every piece of Five Nights at Freddy’s media, but there’s a large mystery surrounding it. None of the video games explicitly state the victim of the incident, though the most popular theory is Jeremy Fitzgerald. Additionally, the franchise hasn’t established which animatronic is responsible for the Bite of ‘87. Fans of the games are largely divided about who the culprit is, but popular theories include Foxy, Mangle, Toy Foxy, and Toy Chica.

The mystery surrounding the Bite of ‘87 makes it ideal to include in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie. Not only would this answer many pressing questions within the Five Nights at Freddy’s fandom, but it would provide the film with a horrifying scene. Though it’s unclear how he’ll tie into the movie plot, Jeremy should appear in the sequel if they follow the video games. In that case, it’s crucial that they include one of the most iconic items from the game Five Nights at Freddy’s 2: the Freddy Fazbear mask.

Throughout the video game, Jeremy Fitzgerald must put on a Freddy Fazbear mask so that he won’t be killed by the animatronics. The mask is extremely terrifying since it limits Jeremy’s sight. Moreover, nothing is more haunting than seeing Bonnie appear through the mask’s eyeholes. It would be a major disappointment if Jeremy appears in the movie Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and never puts on the Freddy mask.

8 Mike Visiting Circus Baby’s Pizza World

If Five Nights at Freddy’s gets a sequel, it will likely bring Mike and Abby Schmidt back as central characters. While they learn who killed their younger brother, they don’t find out how or why. This location doesn’t appear until the fifth Five Nights at Freddy’s game, making it an unlikely choice for the movie sequel. Still, Easter eggs in Five Nights at Freddy’s point toward the possibility that the sister location and its new animatronics will appear.

While most of the Five Nights at Freddy’s lore comes from the video games, the book The Silver Eyes introduces an extremely important and interesting character named Henry Emily who should appear in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. Years before the events of the video games, Henry starts Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. with his business partner and best friend, William Afton. Henry designs the springlock suits that Afton eventually uses to murder children.

After opening Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, he also builds the four main animatronics for the pizzeria. Afton eventually kills Henry’s daughter Charlie. Her soul possesses the Puppet, an animatronic that will almost definitely appear based on the cryptic post-credits message in Five Nights at Freddy’s. Due to Henry Emily’s integral role in the creation of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, he should appear in the movie sequel. Additionally, he’s the subject of a popular fan theory about the identity of Mike, Abby, and Garrett’s father in the movie. This gives Henry an easy tie-in to the plot.

6 A Cameo From Nightmare Fredbear

One of the biggest challenges for the highly-anticipated sequel is that Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 needs to ramp up the scares while maintaining the PG-13 rating. The first movie spends quite a bit of time establishing the lore, making it tamer than the games. The second film doesn’t need as much time for lore, though. A cameo of Nightmare Fredbear would help ramp up the scare factor in a way that doesn’t require blood and gore. While the character doesn’t appear until the game Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, he could easily appear as a hallucination or nightmare.

5 The Puppet’s Music Box Stops Playing

Since Five Nights of Freddy’s primarily follows the first video game, it’s likely the sequel will follow the events of the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 game. This means the movie can introduce one of the best moments from the game: the action sequence that happens after the Puppet’s music box stops playing. The Puppet’s music box song appears at the end of Five Nights at Freddy’s, hinting that the character and item will appear in the sequel.

When the music box stops playing in the video game, the Puppet moves without being seen, as if disappearing and reappearing. An eerie jack-in-the-box song starts playing in the background as he’s approaching Jeremy. Then, he kills Jeremy while also providing one of the worst jump scares in any Five Nights at Freddy’s game. Hopefully, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 includes this scary action sequence when a night guard forgets to wind the Puppet’s music box.

4 Markiplier Should Appear In Five Nights At Freddy’s 2

When Five Nights at Freddy’s released in 2014, YouTubers like Markiplier and MatPat recorded themselves playing the video game and reacting to the terrifying animatronics. This publicity helped the game boom in popularity, allowing the franchise to become what it is now. While other YouTubers make cameos in Five Nights at Freddy’s, Markiplier had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with his horror movie, Iron Lung.

While this was disappointing, Markiplier’s scrapped cameo in Five Nights at Freddy’s could be a good thing in the long run. He branched into acting with his YouTube Originals and upcoming movie adaptation, and he’s spent time honing his craft. As such, Markiplier could play a larger role in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, possibly even taking on the part of Jeremy Fitzgerald.

3 Circus Baby’s Iconic Line

There’s a good chance that the animatronic Circus Baby will appear in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 based on the Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location Easter eggs in the first movie. If the animatronic is alive in the movie, she needs to say her most famous and haunting quote: “Where did the other children go?” In the video game, this is what Elizabeth Afton says before she dies and possesses Circus Baby. It’s unlikely this storyline will exist in the movie, though, since Vanessa seemingly took the place of Elizabeth in Five Nights at Freddy’s. Luckily, the context isn’t necessary for this question to create thrills.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location includes numerous terrifying characters and moments that the movie sequel could utilize. The most disturbing aspect of the game is the scooping room. Circus Baby explains that the scooping machine pulls the endoskeletons out of the animatronics and puts them in a new body. However, this machine has deadly consequences when used on a human. The person’s organs and bones are ripped out, leaving only the skin. This may be too gory to include in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, but it would enhance the horror if they found a way to incorporate this location.

1 Phone Guy Guiding The Night Guard

The biggest and most disappointing thing from the video games that’s missing in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is the character Phone Guy. Throughout the first and second video games, Phone Guy calls the security guards, offering guidance on how to get through the night. He provides tidbits about the restaurant’s history and the animatronics’ behavior.

By the end of the Five Nights at Freddy’s, it’s revealed that Phone Guy was dead the entire time. Horrifically, the night guard is forced to listen to the character’s death. Phone Guy would make a good addition to Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, and his death would add an extra element of audio horror to the movie.
