Heavy police presence seen near Blue Ridge at W. Fuqua, where reports of shots being fired at crash scene, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Houston police are looking for a person who fled the scene of a crash where shots were fired, resulting in one person injured in southwest Houston.

The video above is ABC13’s 24/7 livestream.

On Monday, the Houston Police Department said the crash happened at about 1 p.m. near Blue Ridge at W. Fuqua.

SkyEye was above the scene, where the police could be seen setting up a perimeter near the crash after one person took off.

Police haven’t disclosed what led to the wreck or how the shooting evolved, but an officer told ABC13 that the caller heard shots being fired before seeing two cars collide.

Although details are limited, investigators told Eyewitness News that one person was taken to the hospital.
