The Chicago Bulls appear to be a sinking ship this season, as this may finally be the year that the team’s brass decides to blow things up before the NBA trade deadline in February.

Before the 2023-24 NBA season got underway, rumors started circulating about the team’s interest in making some major moves before the deadline if this group didn’t get off to a good start to the regular season.

With the team currently sporting a disappointing record of 4-7, it’s safe to say things aren’t headed in the right direction in the Windy City, which means some of the team’s biggest names could be headed elsewhere in the coming months.

Obviously, the most desirable player for title-contending teams around the league on the Bulls roster is Zach LaVine, even though he has an enormous contract to absorb.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, there are three prominent teams in the league that might consider trading for LaVine before February’s deadline, with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat potentially ready to come calling, via NBACentral.

With the Bulls likely to continue to be on the decline, it may only be a matter of time before the trade offers start rolling in, with these title-contending teams looking to bring in another proven scorer to make their team that much better this season.

It’ll be interesting to see which team becomes the most aggressive in the pursuit of LaVine or any of the other stars on the team, like DeMar DeRozan or Alex Caruso.
