SEC Men’s Cross Country Record Book

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Oct. 26, 2023)—–The Southeastern Conference and the University of South Carolina will serve as host of the 2023 SEC Cross Country Championships Friday at Charwood Golf Club in West Columbia, S.C. The meet will be televised live on the SEC Network.
The men’s 8K race is scheduled for a 10:08 a.m. ET start, while the women’s 6K race will begin at 10:50 a.m. ET. An awards ceremony will follow the women’s race. Admission to the 2023 SEC Cross Championships is free and open to the public. This marks the fourth time South Carolina has served as host of the SEC Cross Country Championships and the first since 2010.
Seven SEC teams enter the SEC Championships listed among the nation’s top-25 teams according to the most recent rankings released last week. In the women’s rankings, Florida is ranked seventh, while Arkansas is No. 11, Alabama is No. 13 and Ole Miss is No. 18. Arkansas is the highest-ranked SEC men’s squad at No. 8, while Tennessee is No. 13 and Alabama is No. 22.
Alabama swept the men’s and women’s titles last year. Arkansas leads all programs with 27 SEC men’s titles and 22 women’s titles.
