Perhaps the biggest, most marquee matchup in the NFL this week will take place in the Delaware Valley where the 7-1 Philadelphia Eagles will host the 5-2 Dallas Cowboys.

While the Eagles, the defending NFC champions, could still use a tune-up, this game is more important for the Cowboys, who still need to prove to many pundits that they’re a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Philly is currently favored to win this game, but per CBS Sports Network, Adam Schein believes the Cowboys will upset them on Sunday, citing the Cowboys’ defense and quarterback Dak Prescott’s past success versus Philly.

Last season in Week 15, Dallas defeated the Eagles, 40-34, as Prescott completed 27 of 35 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns while setting up two late drives that ended in successful field goals.

Prescott has faced lots of criticism for not playing up to his ability against big-time opponents, especially after he threw three picks in a Week 5 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but he may be getting his groove back.

On Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, he went 25 of 31 for 304 yards and four touchdown passes as the Cowboys won by 23 points.

Their defense, which gave up 42 points to the Niners, has rebounded by holding the Rams to 20 points and the Los Angeles Chargers to 17 points in the team’s prior game.

If the Cowboys want to prove the doubters wrong, they will have to go into the Eagles’ cage and come away with a win.
