Despite making a switch at quarterback, the New York Jets suffered another deflating loss in Week 12 to the Miami Dolphins.

The Jets got dominated, 34-13, and the matchup wasn’t particularly close as the Dolphins looked like they were in a different league on both sides of the field.

New York decided to roll with Tim Boyle at quarterback and benched Zach Wilson, though that move didn’t do much to change the results as the backup signal-caller looked just as overwhelmed as the former No. 2 overall pick.

Boyle got pressured on nearly every one of his dropbacks and got picked off twice, one of which was returned for a 99-yard touchdown that all but sealed Miami’s win in the first half.

Fans were understandably upset at the team’s performance and at this point the offense looks completely broken.

However, head coach Robert Saleh remained supporting of offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, via Dov Kleiman.

Hackett’s acumen as a play-caller has come under fire all year and the rumblings have only grown louder as New York’s season continues to spiral down the drain.

Saleh made the switch from Wilson to Boyle in hopes of creating some sort of offensive spark, but it’s clear that the issue might not reside in the quarterback room.

Hackett was largely brought in because of his relationship with Aaron Rodgers, but with the future Hall of Fame quarterback still on the mend there’s no one to protect Hackett and his questionable offensive scheme.
