The NBA season is still very young and there are many games left to play but one thing is already very clear: the league is filled with some incredible talent.
But who is the best of the best right now?
According to Kendrick Perkins, the choice is clear and he knows who the best player in the NBA is.
Speaking on “First Take,” Perkins threw his support behind Denver Nuggets superstar and reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic.
“As far as best player in the league, that is Jokic,” Perkins said.

Perkins added: “He must got his fresh set of shoes on because he’s been standing on business.”
When last season ended, many analysts were calling Jokic the best basketball player on Earth but he has somehow only gotten better in 2023-24.
He is averaging 29 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game.
Those are career highs for both points and rebounds and he is currently leading the league in boards.
His field-goal percentages have dipped a bit since last season and Jokic is putting up 57.1% compared to 63.2%
And he is now shooting 31.6% from beyond the three-point line as opposed to 38.3% from 2022-23.
Still, Jokic remains perhaps the most dominant player in the league and is seemingly unstoppable at times.
He has earned a double-double in all but one game so far this season and has racked up multiple triple-doubles too.
As for his Nuggets, they remain the second-best team in the West, slightly behind the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Following their first Finals win, some people wondered if Jokic would remain as competitive and if the team would return to the championship.
Jokic is showing that he and his team are still fully committed and ready to win it all.
