The Milwaukee Bucks are undoubtedly one of the most inconsistent teams in the NBA this season.

There are games when the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Bucks play like the best team in the league, but on other days, the team struggles even against the weakest sides in the NBA.

A perfect example of it was the Bucks’ recent overtime defeat against the struggling Chicago Bulls.

The Bucks may have only lost the game by seven points, but it was clear that a lack of good defense was the primary reason for the defeat.

Speaking of which, former NBA coach Sam Mitchell recently blamed the Bucks’ defensive issues on Antetokounmpo, via SiriusXM NBA Radio on Twitter.

“Giannis is not a good on-ball defender,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell didn’t mince his words at all and openly called out Antetokounmpo for being a bad on-ball defender.

The 2007 NBA Coach of the Year believes it was the primary reason behind the Bucks’ lackluster performance against the Bulls.

In the loss, Antetokounmpo recorded 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Bucks.

Sure, he stuffed the box score, but it was still not enough to lead his team to victory.

The organization may finally be feeling the void left after trading away Jrue Holiday in exchange for acquiring Damian Lillard earlier this season.

Lillard is undoubtedly a great player on the offensive end of the floor, but when it comes to defense, Holiday was one of the best in the league.
