Joe Burrow, the magnificent quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals, will soon enter his fourth NFL season, which means it will soon be time for his team to give him his first big contract.
He could be in line for a record-breaking contract, as a number of quarterbacks and wide receivers have gotten humongous new deals over the past year or two, but the Bengals will also soon need to pay wide receivers Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.
Higgins and Chase are the team’s two most important playmakers, and according to analyst Adam Schein, Burrow knows that he cannot take too much money to the point where it would prevent his team from also paying his two star wideouts.

Burrow had a frustrating rookie season in which he tore both the ACL and MCL in his left knee, which limited him to 10 games.
But the very next year, he arrived as an elite QB, leading the NFL in pass completion percentage and throwing for 34 touchdowns while winning the Comeback Player of the Year award.
He powered the Bengals to the Super Bowl after getting past the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs, where they narrowly lost to the Los Angeles Rams.
Last season, Burrow made his first Pro Bowl, but his team failed to make the Super Bowl as the Chiefs got their revenge in the AFC Championship Game.
If he, Higgins, and Chase all get their extensions from the Bengals, the team should be contenders for possibly up to the next decade.
