BIRMINGHAM, AL (Jun. 6, 2023) – Six Southeastern Conference baseball teams have advanced to the Super Regional round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, leading all conferences. No. 2 Florida, No. 5 LSU, No. 12 Kentucky, No. 15 South Carolina, and No. 16 Alabama all won regionals at home, while unseeded Tennessee knocked off No. 4 Clemson en route to the Clemson Regional title.
Super Regional competition will be held at various campus locations across the country – including two SEC venues – with the best-of-three series format running Friday, June 9 through Monday, June 12. The eight series winners will advance to Omaha, Nebraska for the 2023 College World Series played Friday, June 16 through Monday, June 26.
Here’s how the six SEC teams advanced to this point and what lies ahead in the Super Regional round as they battle for a trip to Omaha:
