In the 1990s, one team dominated the entire basketball world. The Chicago Bulls reigned supreme for the entire decade, taking home six championship rings in an eight-year timespan, with the only two years in between coming when Michael Jordan decided to pursue an MLB career.

Alongside Scottie Pippen, Jordan helped the Bulls destroy the rest of the league. During that time, Jordan resided in Chicago, and as he was the king of the world, he owned quite the abode. According to Dennis Rodkin of Crain’s Chicago Business, Jordan’s former home was sold in May without many people knowing, and it went for an extremely high price.

Rodkin reported that Jordan’s former home quietly sold for a whopping $6.82 million.

“A penthouse on Lake Shore Drive that Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan bought in the 1990s and his ex-wife sold in 2014 sold quietly in May for $6.82 million,” Rodkin wrote. “The condo, an 8,000-square-foot combination of what were three separate units on the 39th and 40th floors of 1100 N. Lake Shore Drive, sold for the Chicago area’s third-highest home price of the year so far.”

As noted by Rodkin, Jordan and his ex-wife previously sold the home in 2014, but the most recent owner flipped the property once again this year.

Jordan has been in the news as of late for a multitude of other reasons, too, including the sale of his majority stake as the Charlotte Hornets owner and his public beef with Pippen, which has made headlines on multiple occasions for all the wrong reasons.
