The Dallas Cowboys have had a pretty talented team for the last few years, but each season has ended in disappointment for them.

Despite winning 12 games in each of the last two seasons, they have failed to reach the NFC Championship Game, a plateau they haven’t gotten to since the 1995 season, which happens to be the last time they won the Super Bowl.

Former NFL player and current analyst Emmanuel Acho boldly called the Cowboys a “Super Bowl caliber team” and said they have the best roster they have possessed since quarterback Dak Prescott joined them, via “Speak” on FS1.

Part of Acho’s argument is also the fact that the NFC lacks talent and depth, and he even implied that Prescott may be the best QB in the conference.

Dallas has added Brandin Cooks, who is an excellent No. 2 wide receiver, and veteran star cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and won a world championship the year before with the New England Patriots.

The defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles are still considered the class of the conference, and the San Francisco 49ers are a huge threat, but Acho is likely telling the truth about the Cowboys.

However, they will only go as far as Prescott takes them.

He has been criticized for not playing well in big games, and in last season’s Divisional round playoff loss to the 49ers, he threw just one touchdown pass and two interceptions.

If Prescott finally raises his game and consistently plays like an All-Pro, Dallas could finally win itself another Vince Lombardi Trophy this winter.
