Earlier this year, Maddock Films, under the leadership of Dinesh Vijan, made the official announcement about Shiddat 2, featuring Sunny Kaushal and Parineeti Chopra as the stars. However, the film faced a casting alteration due to Parineeti’s unavoidable scheduling conflicts, leading to her decision to step back from the project. At that time, both Parineeti and Dinesh amicably decided to go their separate ways, with a commitment to collaborate on a different venture in the future. It now appears that they have discovered an exciting script for their collaboration and have already begun shooting for the project.
Parineeti Chopra to Star in Dinesh Vijan’s UK Musical Film
In an exclusive revelation, it has been uncovered that Parineeti Chopra has been chosen as the lead for a musical film produced by Dinesh Vijan. The project, which remains unnamed at this stage, promises to be a women-centric narrative set in the United Kingdom. The film’s shooting has already commenced, and we have obtained exclusive pictures from the set. According to a close source involved in the development, the storyline revolves around an independent woman, with Parineeti portraying a lively and cheerful character. While the identity of the director and other movie details are being kept confidential for now, the production team is also in talks with Anupam Kher for a significant role in the movie.

Apart from her upcoming musical film with Dinesh Vijan, Parineeti Chopra has lined up two more promising projects. She will be seen in The Great Indian Rescue, a rescue drama starring Akshay Kumar, scheduled to hit theaters on October 5. In this Tinu Suresh Desai-directed movie based on the 1989 Raniganj coalfield disaster, she takes on the role of the wife of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill. Following that, Parineeti will share the screen with Diljit Dosanjh in Imtiaz Ali’s biographical drama titled Amar Singh Chamkila, which is set to release on Netflix in the early months of next year.
Exciting Film Roster in Store from Maddock Films
Maddock Films has an impressive lineup of more than twelve films set to be released between 2023 and 2024. Among these, they have an untitled robot romcom featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, the movie Sector 36 starring Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobrial, Happy Teacher’s Day with Radhika Madan and Nimrat Kaur, and Pooja Meri Jaan starring Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi. Additionally, they are working on Sarvgunn Sampann featuring Vaani Kapoor. The company is also producing Chhaava, a film based on the life of Chhatrapathi Sambhaji Maharaj, with Vicky Kaushal as the lead. Other projects include Tehran with John Abraham, Murder Mubarak starring Sara Ali Khan, Ikkis directed by Sriram Raghavan, and the sequel Shiddat 2. Furthermore, Maddock Films is simultaneously focusing on four horror comedies titled Munjya, Stree 2, Bhediya 2, and Vampires of Vijay Nagar.
