The Denver Nuggets’ championship wasn’t just a fluke or something that came out of the blue.

The front office spent plenty of time putting that roster together, orchestrating a team that made their skills on the court fit, but they also have some similar characters off the court.

That’s why it didn’t take long before their stars developed a strong rapport and a close friendship.

With that in mind, it wasn’t odd to see a video shared by Nikola Aesthetic (via ClutchPoints) of Aaron Gordon taking a trip all the way to Serbia to hang out with Nikola Jokic, and the two were spotted celebrating a win for Jokic’s horse race.

Clearly, the two were having a very good time.

Jokic is a lifelong horse enthusiast, and it seems like that’s actually his true passion.

Every time he has an ounce of free time, he travels to check out his horses, and he’s reportedly spent plenty of money keeping them safe, sound, and in top-notch form.

Jokic is the kind of player who makes us think that we’ll never see him again once he’s done playing, similar to Kawhi Leonard or Karl Malone.

He’s not about the things most wealthy athletes are about, and he definitely doesn’t strike as the average NBA player.

But he’s still become the centerpiece of the Nuggets’ project, and Mike Malone’s team will continue to be one of the strongest contenders out of the Western Conference for as long as he’s doing his thing on the floor.
