NYPD searching for dump truck driver who killed woman crossing Brooklyn street

Police are looking for a dump truck driver that fatally struck a woman at a Brooklyn intersection on Monday morning, police said.

The woman was crossing Kingsland Avenue at around 6:45 a.m. in Williamsburg when the driver hit her while making a left turn from Richardson Street. The victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where she was pronounced dead.

She was not identified, but police said she appeared to be in her 60s or 70s.

The driver did not remain on scene and has yet to be located according to the NYPD.

An investigation into Monday’s incident is ongoing.

It’s not the first time a dump truck driver killed a pedestrian in Brooklyn this month. On Aug. 4, a 75-year-old woman was fatally struck by a dump truck driver in a Coney Island hit-and-run.
