That move comes after the Red Sox have disappointed in three of the last four years.
But, the outlook of the Red Sox is to be back in contention very soon.

It will be interesting to see who the Red Sox hire as their next top executive.
That will play a large role in have quickly they can turn their franchise around.
Someone who is willing to be aggressive and make big moves is necessary.
Playing in a loaded AL East means the Red Sox will have to drastically improve their roster.
Each offseason there are some top players available either for trade or in free agency.
It is time that the Red Sox do whatever is necessary to put the best lineup on the field.
MLB is much better when the Red Sox are good.
The best rivalry in baseball is arguably the Red Sox and Yankees.
Many baseball fans would like to see that rivalry mean something again next season.
