The Minnesota Timberwolves are relatively one of the newer franchises in the NBA, founded in 1989.

Since then, the Timberwolves haven’t really had a lot of success in the league.

As of now, the greatest player to don the Timberwolves jersey is Kevin Garnett.

Garnett played 14 seasons for the Timberwolves, leading them to eight playoff appearances.

As of now, Karl-Anthony Towns is the franchise player on the team, and KAT recently shared his views on Garnett via the Timberwolves’ official Twitter handle.

“He’s my OG, he’s my vet. I love him a lot… I lean on him for experience when you have one of the best players to ever play the game,” Towns said.

It’s always great to see a current superstar showing love to a legend of the organization.

KG is a Basketball Hall of Famer, but it’s sad to know that he could not win a title while playing for the Timberwolves.

As for Towns, he has already played eight seasons for the franchise but has had little to no success in the NBA.

However, Towns’ time could change in the future as the Timberwolves currently have two other stars, Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert.

Last season, the Timberwolves advanced to the 2023 playoffs as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

Unfortunately, they were eliminated in just five games by the eventual champions, the Denver Nuggets.

Next season, the franchise is expected to do great things in the 2023-24 NBA season.

But can they really make a deep playoff run next season?

Well, there’s no way for us to find out until the new season begins later in October 2023.
