The Milwaukee Bucks made arguably the biggest splash in the NBA during the offseason by pulling off a three-team trade in order to acquire superstar guard Damian Lillard.

Giannis Antetokounmpo put the Bucks on the clock earlier in the NBA offseason by saying he’ll be looking for the door if he doesn’t see the same championship mindset he has while in the locker room in Milwaukee.

This clearly lit a fire under the Bucks brass to get something done as quickly as they could in order to avoid Antetokounmpo leaving the team in the near future.

On Sunday, Lillard and Antetokounmpo finally made their debut on the floor together for the Bucks as they took on the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.

The two superstars gave the fans a taste of what’s to come with a Lillard hitting Antetokounmpo on the break for the slam via ESPN.

This kick out for the breakaway slam dunk isn’t going to make a lot of highlight reels during the regular season, but it will spark some excitement among Bucks fans as they look forward to what could be a thrilling season from start to finish with Lillard now in town.

The real question moving forward is whether this superstar dynamic duo will work in Milwaukee and if Lillard is the missing piece to the championship puzzle for the Bucks.

There’s no doubt that Lillard and Antetokounmpo want nothing more than to win, which bodes well for the future of this franchise as the 2023-24 season approaches.
