The San Francisco 49ers have found their franchise quarterback.

Some might believe he’s a product of the system, but Brock Purdy has established himself in the league already.

Of course, he was heavily criticized during the team’s three-game losing streak, mostly because it came without Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams.

That’s why NFL analyst Rich Eisen won’t rush to call him an MVP candidate right now, as some people can’t seem to shake off the fact that he was the last pick in his NFL Draft class.

Eisen stated that Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts are most likely going to be the top two MVP candidates this season, adding that Tua Tagovailoa and/or Lamar Jackson could also enter the mix.

With that in mind, Eisen believes that the next four games will give Purdy a chance to establish and prove himself for good, as they’re going to play some tough opponents and they’ll need him to be at his best.

Eisen also acknowledged that Purdy has been spectacular in the two games since coming out of the Bye, but he hasn’t needed to come from behind and prove that he can thrive in the clutch, which was a big issue during the losing streak.

Purdy still has an opportunity to prove that he’s more than a game-manager and is worthy of praise and this opportunity.

And while it definitely won’t be easy, he’s done plenty of winning since he took the reins of the offense by accident last season.
