Bachelor in Paradise episode 3 saw the beginning of a love connection between Kat Izzo and beach newcomer, Tanner Courtad, but will they leave Mexico as a couple or engaged? At first, Kat had a strong connection with Brayden Bowers. He gave her his rose at the first rose ceremony. However, when Tanner arrived on the beach, Kat accepted a date with him. They went horseback riding, and shared a conversation and kiss on the beach as well.
Brayden was heart-broken and in tears that his Bachelor in Paradise love connection ended so abruptly and unexpectedly. When he confronted Kat about it, saying he felt used, Kat became defensive. She felt that she did nothing wrong by going on a date with Tanner. Kat seems all-in on Tanner now, but will they leave Bachelor in Paradise as a couple?
Who Is Kat Izzo?
Kat, a 26-year-old registered nurse from Tampa, Florida, first appeared on Zach Shallcross’ Bachelor season. They formed a strong connection, but Kat was often portrayed as the villain of the season. She was criticized for pulling Zach away to talk to him and kiss him before he left for a one-on-one date with Charity Lawson. Kat later expressed concerns about Zach meeting her family due to the nature of the show. Despite their growing relationship, Zach blindsided her at the rose ceremony and eliminated her. Now Kat has a second chance at love on Bachelor in Paradise season 9.
Who Is Tanner Courtad?
Tanner, a 30-year-old mortgage lender from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, first appeared in Charity’s Bachelorette season. He made it to Charity’s top five before being eliminated just before the hometown dates. Tanner and Charity had a slow start to their relationship, and Charity thought it wouldn’t be comfortable to meet his family when they were still just getting to know each other. Now Tanner is ready for a second chance at love in Mexico.
Are Kat & Tanner Still Together?
Although Kat and Tanner really seem to be hitting it off, their relationship won’t last. According to Reality Steve, Kat is now engaged to John Henry Spurlock. They got engaged in Mexico, and are still together today. As for Tanner, he’ll make a love connection with Rachel Recchia. However, Reality Steve said that Rachel self-eliminated. It’s unclear what happened to Tanner after that.
Kat gave up her relationship with Brayden for Tanner, but she’ll be leaving Tanner too. The point of Bachelor in Paradise is to explore possible connections, so it makes sense that the couples break up throughout the season. However, it’s sad that Brayden got his heart broken in the process. Aside from that, it’s fantastic to know that Kat finally found what she was looking for with John Henry. Hopefully, Brayden and Tanner will find love as well.
