The Boston Celtics recently acquired Jrue Holiday, their largest offseason acquisition.
This was a sign to the rest of the league, notably the Eastern Conference, that they will do whatever it takes to reach the NBA Finals again.
Celtics majority governor, Wyc Grousbeck confirmed this in recent comments according to reporter Gary Washburn.
“We’re going to keep doing this until we uncover this banner or die trying,” Grousbeck said.

Grousbeck also said, “We’re going for banner 18 and we’re gonna keep going.”
His eyes appear to be set on another title, and the Celtics have continued to hone their roster to get ready for another championship.
However, their path to banner 18 has gotten more complicated throughout the offseason.
The Milwaukee Bucks recently acquired Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.
Lillard is regarded as a top-ten player in the league, as is Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks and Celtics are tied for the best odds to win the Eastern Conference after their massive moves.
Sportsbooks believe this will be a hotly contested race to the top, and that both teams are star-studded.
Will the Celtics’ big three of Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Holiday be enough to stop the Bucks?
Plus, there are still several other teams in the East who are more than capable of holding their own this season.
With the season tip-off just around the corner, fans won’t have to wait long to see how it all unfolds.
