It’s Thursday morning in New York City where we finally know how much that congestion pricing toll will be.
Here’s what else is happening:
- You’ve probably heard by now that Henry Kissinger died yesterday at age 100. But did you know that he was once called the “Playboy of the Western Wing”?
- Central Park hasn’t seen an inch of snow since Feb. 13, 2022, more than 650 days ago.
- The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center was donated by the founder of the band Gym Class Heroes.
- Mark Cuban said he’s leaving Shark Tank after 16 seasons and also planning to sell his majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks. Could his next move be to run for office?
- The NYPD is using drones to spot and stop subway surfers. The department says they’ve already been able to nab four surfers using the technology, including a 12-year-old.
- As everyone fawned over their Spotify Wrapped yesterday, some Swifties were disappointed to find out they’d fallen out of the top 1% of Taylor Swift listeners. That’s because it was a lot harder to achieve this year with 6,000 minutes of listening needed to get there.
- An 86-year-old mobster on trial for punching a steakhouse owner says he did so because the guy called him a “washed up Italian,” not as part of an extortion scheme, according to his lawyer.
- And finally, just doing some Christmas decorating:
