Extra Extra: It’s even expensive for pets to live in NYC

It’s Thursday afternoon in New York City and Mayor Eric Adams’ new plan to address the housing crisis is to rewrite zoning laws and convert office spaces to apartments.

Up to 20,000 new homes could be created under the plan announced Thursday which would convert 163 million square feet of empty office space — or roughly the size of Philadelphia as Adams pointed out — into housing.
