It’s been a while since we last saw — or heard — former NFL RB Corey Dillon share a piece of his mind.
In a recent interview with Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, via ProFootballTalk, the tailback took some big shots at Cincinnati Bengals fans over his omission from the team’s Ring of Honor.

Dillon put the Bengals on blast for allowing the fans to be the ones who get to decide who makes it to the Ring of Honor and who doesn’t, as he knows he’s not exactly the most popular player in franchise history.
Then again, Dillon does meet the criteria from a stats standpoint.
He started off his career with six consecutive seasons of more than 1,100 rushing yards — all with the Bengals.
He rushed for a whopping 8,061 yards across seven years with the organization, finishing with 11,241 per his career.
Notably, that’s more career yards than the likes of O.J. Simpson, Larry Csonka, and Earl Campbell, which leads him to believe that he’s also Hall-of-Fame material.
Dillon claimed that Bengals fans are mad at him for his outspoken nature and for leaving the team to win a Super Bowl somewhere else, and while there might be some truth to that, the numbers speak for themselves, and it would be tough to make a case against him in that regard.
The controversial back also says his off-field incidents took a toll on his reputation, which he believes it’s unfair.
He was arrested twice after retirement, once for DUI — which was later reduced to reckless driving — and then once for alleged assault.
