Summer is coming to an end and Damian Lillard is still a member of the Portland Trail Blazers.
That obviously wasn’t expected weeks ago when Lillard made it clear that he wanted to be traded away from the team.
Lillard made his demand and also said that he wanted to be sent to the Miami Heat.
However, there has been no movement with any deal between the two teams.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, via NBACentral, is now reporting that the Blazers are “still not interested in making a Damian Lillard trade with the Miami Heat.”

This is the exact same thing we heard a few weeks ago, and a few weeks before that too.
Since the trade demand, the Blazers haven’t found much common ground with the Heat.
Insiders say that the Blazers are understandably asking for a lot in exchange for Lillard.
They reportedly want multiple first-round draft picks in order to even consider sending him away.
At this point, Miami has essentially offered everything they’re willing to trade and yet nothing has come of it.
That means that Lillard might need to change his approach.
Much like James Harden with the Philadelphia 76ers, the star guard might have to consider opening up his trade request to other teams.
The Blazers have the upper hand and Lillard may have to either stay in Portland or accept that going to Miami isn’t happening.
If Lillard does contemplate moving to other teams, you can bet that plenty will draft up offer sheets for the Blazers.
This situation might get very exciting again if Lillard softens his stance.
