Anime is certainly a unique part of society.

It often revolves around famous cartoons or comic book series.

As it turns out, there is a certain Major League Baseball star who personally enjoys a bit of anime.

Reigning American League Rookie of the Year Julio Rodriguez has recently expressed his fascination with Naruto Uzukami from the series “Naruto.”

The Seattle Mariners slugger says that Naruto is his favorite anime character of them all and explains why.

Rodriguez enjoys Naruto because he started out as an ordinary person, yet managed to do some very important things.

MLB Life tweeted Rodriguez’s statements about his fascination with Naruto.

Rodriguez also said that he catches a little bit of flack for being so interested in anime.

However, he revealed that he responds by challenging those around him to listen to what Naruto is trying to say when he attempts to spark change for good.

Every player certainly has their own side hobby.

For the reigning American League Rookie of the Year, that side hobby is anime.

Rodriguez doesn’t seem to mind being questioned about his love for anime.

Instead, he finds the important lessons that are being taught in the comics and shows that some people may miss.

For him, Naruto is a character that he has learned a lot from and has been inspired by since reading the Naruto comics.

The slugger clearly enjoys the development of the character and how he rises from nothing to something just by being a productive member of his society.
