The Charlotte Hornets are, once again, not in the best shape and their chances of making the playoffs are dwindling.
That means that big changes could be coming soon for the troubled team.
A new report states that Miles Bridges could be departing the team soon and that news caught the player by surprise.
He responded to an NBACentral tweet about the rumor with a simple “?” as his reply.

Bridges has faced off-court legal problems that have created headaches for the team but he is finally back and performing quite well.
He has posted 20.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game so far in 2023-24.
He is moving well, performing strongly, and has good chemistry with his teammates.
The fact that Bridges is making an impact is perhaps the biggest reason why he might be traded soon.
He is one of the few trade assets the team has, plus he will be an unrestricted free agent when his current contract expires, which means he can choose his own fate and take off no matter what the Hornets want.
This means the team could ultimately lose him regardless, so they might move him long before that.
If other teams are able to look beyond the bad press that he has incurred, they could see a lot of value in Bridges.
Would his departure be enough to get the Hornets on track?
That’s unlikely and other changes would also be needed.
Plus, they would require some good luck to stop losing LaMelo Ball to injuries.
Without Ball remaining healthy, this team is stuck in a holding pattern.
