One arrested in connection with Santa Clara eatery stabbing

SANTA CLARA – Police on Monday announced an arrest in a double stabbing last week at an In-N-Out Burger in Santa Clara.

Using video footage provided by the public, police identified one of the suspects as Gage Anthony Bryand, 27, of Tracy, Santa Clara police Lt. Mike Crescini said in a news release.

Bryand, who was already in custody at the Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose, was booked on charges of attempted murder and resisting arrest, Crescini said.

The stabbings happened around 11:10 p.m. Friday when at least 10 people got into a fight at the In-N-Out Burger at 3001 Mission College Blvd., Crescini said. Two people were stabbed and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Crescini said Bryand was among the multiple people police detained in connection with the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
