The Baltimore Orioles have not been afraid to call up their top prospects.
They see they have a serious chance at making the postseason this year and want to put the best players on the field to do so.
The Orioles have called up two of their top prospects within the last two weeks.
First was infielder Jordan Westburg, who has gotten off to a strong start in his MLB career.
Now the Orioles are ready to bring up their top outfield prospect, Colton Cowser.
Cowser is the 14th overall prospect in baseball and is expected to pay immediate dividends for the Orioles.

This season in Triple-A, Cowser hit .330 with 10 home runs and 40 RBI in 56 games.
He also had an OPS of .996.
The Orioles are looking to add another solid bat for their lineup, which is why Cowser got the call.
He is expected to play every day in the outfield and bring a spark to their already strong lineup.
Each rookie performs differently when they are first called up to the big leagues.
We have seen the Cincinnati Reds’ lineup get taken over by rookies that have taken the league by storm.
But the transition from the minor leagues to the majors is not always easy.
The Orioles hope the move for Cowser can be seamless.
He has the skills to help this lineup, but he needs to get used to major-league pitching.
The Orioles seem primed to end their playoff drought this season.
The youth movement in Baltimore is something that all fans can be excited about.
