Pratt seeks an
exceptional K-12 STEAM administrator, who will be an essential member of Pratt STEP (Science and Technology Entry Program) housed within the
Center K-12. The STEP Project Coordinator will work closely with the K-12 Director of Programs to implement all programmatic activity
required to fulfill the NYSED STEP grant which serves over 240 scholars annually, grades 7-12. The NYSED STEP Grant provides enrichment and
career development opportunities that strive to increase the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged scholars
in the STEM fields and licensed professions.

for Art, Design, and Community Engagement K-12 is to increase access to instruction in art and design for young people by leveraging the

The Program Assistant will provide
administrative support to all aspects of STEP programming, including, but not limited to: The collection and organization of programmatic
data, program outreach, program delivery, and coordination and management of the 3D Printing Lab. They will help organize programs for
scholars and develop a thriving portfolio of resources. They will support the development of programs, services, and activities for
scholars. They will assist the Center K-12 Program Director with budget management, program enrollment, and program mission and vision
alignment. The Program Assistant role will be part-time, 22 hours/week. Schedule will adjust to include some evenings and Saturdays when
programs are in session (October – May).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform office
administrative duties and ensure the smooth and responsive operation of the office which includes, but is not limited to: coordinating the
use and maintenance of the 3D printing lab, maintaining supplies and resources onsite. - Oversee and monitor the recruitment and
retention of student participants. - Support the organization and collection of records required including but not limited to:
contracts and agreements, and student information. - Oversee and assist with the direct services provided to students.
- Respond, understand, and accommodate the needs of different program participants, which include: undergraduate and graduate students,
youth participants, families, schools, Pratt administrators and offer assistance as needed. - Coordinate program-wide activities,
including summer internships, field trips, Saturday School, tutoring, and advisory committees. - Travel with, transport, or help
chaperone STEP students on field trips, conferences and college tours
On a typical day you might:
- Collaborate with the Director of Programs to ensure efficient delivery of programs and events
- Respond to student and parent
inquiries including the registration process and basic advisement - Communicate with instructors regarding their courses/programs and
events and activities - Gather and analyze data to support operations and programming initiatives
- Procure and deliver
supplies and materials to program sites - Visit sites to ensure that a high level of program is being implemented

Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelors degree required; BFA preferred.
- Background and interest in the arts a must; knowledge of 3D fabrication and printing
technology is a plus as well as familiarity with studio culture and studio art education a plus.
Experience
- Two years of experience in the provision of education, training, or other services to youth.
- Must be available to work some
evenings and Saturdays when programs are in session. - Commitment to positive youth development and asset-based frameworks is
required.
Required Skills
TECHNOLOGY
- Should feel confident in a woodshop setting
and in a technology lab including 3D Printing and CNC. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications, Adobe Creative
Suite, and be self-sufficient with learning new skills.
