The New York Jets just managed to lock up their defensive stalwart for years to come.

Following months of back and forth and speculation, they were finally able to reach an agreement with star DT Quinnen Williams, making him the highest-paid player in his position behind Aaron Donald.

There are many reasons why the Jets were right to make such a major investment in their star, and one of those is his dominance over Josh Allen.

Williams has had Allen’s number for years now, and he even sacked him three times in their two meetings last season.

However, when asked by Kay Adams if he considered himself to be Allen’s kryptonite, Williams had nothing but praise and the utmost respect for his rival.

Williams called Allen a phenomenal quarterback with a cannon for an arm and even praised the Buffalo Bills as a team.

He sure knows a thing or two about them, granted that they play in the same division.

Notably, the Bills and Jets will go toe-to-toe for the top of the AFC East Division for the foreseeable future, and that battle could go down to the wire and might even be determined by their head-to-head matchups.

If the past is any indication of the future, that will give the Jets a big edge over their divisional rivals, at least in terms of putting pressure on the rival quarterback, as the Bills’ offensive line has yet to figure out a way to stop Williams, not that it’s an easy thing to do.
