Rivals Rankings Week: States with most prospects in 2025 Rivals250

Texas remains No. 1 in terms of Rivals250 production, but its lead has been trimmed from 10 to three over second place Florida. Five-star and No. 6 overall player Devin Sanchez is the class headliner with fellow five-star LSU commit Dakorien Moore and newly minted five-star Jonah Williams rounding out the top three.

Texas and Florida are the only two states to produce multiple five-star recruits, with each state having three in the latest release. While it did not have any newcomers in the latest release, there was one major riser from The Lone State State in massive tight end Kiotti Armstrong, who jumped 102 spots to become the 147th-ranked player overall.

FLORIDA: 41

The Sunshine State is up three recruits in the latest release after previously having 38 in the previous Rivals250. Five-star defensive end Armando Blount is the highest-ranked player in the class, and he comes in as the No. 4 player overall. He is followed by fellow five-stars Winston Watkins Jr. and DJ Pickett to round out the top three.

The state features four Rivals250 newcomers in Javion Hilson, who makes the nation’s highest debut in this latest release at No. 101 overall. The trio of Waden Charles, Vernell Brown III and Koby Howard are the other three debuting at Nos. 148, 172 and 193, respectively. Florida’s biggest riser is Oregon commit Dallas Wilson, who jumps 119 spots to become the No. 23 player overall.

The Golden State remains No. 3 in terms of Rivals250 talent with 23 recruits in the latest release. Newly minted five-star Jordon Davison remains the class headliner and comes in as the nation’s No. 12 player overall.

Although California retains its third spot in terms of elite talent production, it doesn’t feature any Rivals250 newcomers. The state’s biggest riser in the latest release is safety Matai Tagoa’I, who jumped a whopping 120 spots, making him the biggest mover in the latest release and the No. 81 player overall.

Up one recruit from the previous Rivals250, Georgia comes in as the No. 4 state with 22 players in the latest release. The top-ranked prospect remains defensive end Elijah Griffin, who also retains his spot as the nation’s No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class. He is followed by No. 21 overall player Zayden Walker.

The Peach State features one Rivals250 newcomer in offensive tackle Josh Petty, who makes his debut as the No. 152 player overall. The state’s biggest riser is Georgia commit Justus Terry, who jumps 37 spots to become the No. 30 player overall.

ALABAMA: 12

Alabama rounds out the top five with 12 players making the cut in the latest release, breaking its previous tie with Tennessee, which is down one player and now has 11 Rivals250 representatives. Alabama five-star receiver commit Ryan Williams retains his spot as the class headliner, coming in at No. 5 overall. Williams also remains the only five-star representative from the state.

The state did not see any Rivals250 newcomers in the latest release. Georgia offensive tackle commit Micah DeBose is the only player from the state to move up in the latest rankings by jumping one spot to become the No. 13 player overall.
