Tennessee’s Rylie West, a senior outfielder from Eastvale, Calif., recorded a .714 batting average, a 1.857 slugging percentage and an .800 on-base percentage to help the Lady Vols earn wins at UT Arlington and at No. 22/19 Baylor. West registered two hits (including a two-run home run), two RBI and three runs scored against the Mavericks. In game one against the Bears, she broke up a potential no-hitter with a double to score Tennessee’s opening run. In game two, West went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI.

Kentucky’s Stephanie Schoonover, a senior right-hander from Vicksburg, Miss., went 3-0 at the SDSU Season Kickoff with wins over UC Santa Barbara, No. 3/3 Stanford and Minnesota. In the extra-innings victory over the Cardinal, Schoonover threw the complete game and fanned seven batters. She entered the game against the Golden Gophers in the seventh inning and tallied three strikeouts to secure the win.

Alabama’s Lauren Johnson, an outfielder from Franklin, Tenn., led the Tide with her .545 batting average at the Buzz Classic. Johnson posted six hits, four runs scored, two RBI and a team-best three stolen bases. In her first career start against Longwood, she went 3-for-3, the first three-hit performance for any Tide player since her older sister Jenna Johnson did so against Arkansas at last season’s SEC Tournament.

Florida’s Olivia Miller, a left-handed pitcher from Orlando, Fla., became the first freshman in program history to throw a perfect game in the win over Bethune-Cookman at the USF-Rawlings Invitational. It was also the eighth overall perfect game in the Gators’ record books.
