The Senior HR Manager will manage the day-to-day processes associated with Recruiting, Employee Relations and Performance Management administration for the University. The position will supervise a small HR team.
Other duties:
- Oversight of Recruitment team and assist in successful recruitment strategies for the University and successful onboarding of new employees.
- Recruits and sources talent for the hiring managers and/or search committees
- Manages the Employee Relations process for the university – be the liaison between the employer and employee while mediating conflicts
- Administer formal exit interview program
- Manages the staff performance management process including annual and probationary reviews
- Work with supervisors and staff on performance improvement plans
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Advertised Salary: $80,000+/year based on experience & qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or related field
- Expertise in federal, state and local employment laws
- Experience working with Microsoft applications, HR and ATS systems
- At least 8 years broad HR experiences that include:
- 5 years’ experience with ATS & Recruiting activities
- 5 years’ experience with Employee Relations and/or coaching and/or mentoring supervisors & employees
- 2 years of supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or PHR or similar certification
- Recruiting and/or human resources experience in a public sector or higher education environment
- Experience with Peoplesoft and University applicant tracking systems
- Master’s Degree in HR or related field
- 10 years HR experience
