The Miami Heat‘s impressive and unpredictable season could be ending on Monday night.
They are down 1-3 against the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals which means they are dangerously close to being eliminated after months of overperforming and surprising the entire NBA fanbase.
Some people think the Heat could overcome such a historic deficit and bring this series to seven games.
But Shannon Sharpe has an opinion for those people: “It’s over.”

Sharpe has heard all of the claims that this Heat team has defeated the odds before and that Jimmy Butler is a tough player.
But he still believes that this season is done for the Heat.
He’s not alone.
While there are many people astounded by what the Heat have pulled off, they also think that time may finally be up for the team.
But everyone will look back in awe of these playoffs.
Things started in a rough way, with the Heat hardly even making the playoffs after a bad first play-in game.
They then had to face off against the first-seed Milwaukee Bucks, who they beat.
That was followed by the New York Knicks, who they dispatched as well.
Finally, the Heat had to go toe-to-toe with the Boston Celtics, who they beat even after being pushed to seven games in that series.
Yes, the Heat have impressed nearly everyone.
But they are facing a whole different type of opponent with the Nuggets and all their determination might not be enough this time.
