Stefanos Tsitsipas says he feels “happy and content” in a romantic relationship with Paula Badosa. Badosa, a former world No 2, was forced to miss this year’s French Open due to a stress fracture in her spine. But Badosa was in Paris as she was spotted in the crowd during one of Tsitsipas’ matches.

After Tsitsipas exited the French Open in the quarterfinal, the Greek and Badosa went to Dubai for a couple of days. Last week in Stuttgart, Tsitsipas officially confirmed that he and Badosa were indeed dating.

Tsitsipas on why he feels Badosa is the one

“I feel happy and content.

I haven’t really felt that type of connection with anyone before. I don’t mean to sound cringe or anything because that’s the reality and that’s what I am faced with. I am extremely blessed and happy that this came at this phase of my life.

I get to do what I love and I get to do it with someone who completely understands me and gets it. I have been very interested in her mind more than anything else. Of course there is attraction but it’s also sometimes just a soul interaction and getting to fall in love with her mind.

It’s very rare that these things happen. It’s like we share the same identity: same lifestyle, same desires, same passions, same ambitions. It’s the same. It’s wonderful to be a part of it and to experience it every day,” Tsitsipas told Eurosport.

Meanwhile, Tsitsipas kicked off his grass season last week in Stuttgart and he is also competing at this week’s ATP 500 event in Halle. On the other side, Badosa is still sidelined due to the same injury that forced her to miss the French Open.

However, Badosa hasn’t ruled out playing during this year’s grass season as the Spaniard is hoping to be able to compete at Wimbledon.
