China launched the world’s first ultra-high-speed next-generation internet backbone with a bandwidth of 1,200G bits per second. An internet backbone refers to one of the principal data routes between large, strategically interconnected networks and core routers on the internet. The ultra-high-speed next-generation internet backbone, jointly developed by Tsinghua University, China Mobile, Huawei and CERNET Corporation.
