It’s been a summer to remember for Zach Wilson’s biggest supporter.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, model Nicolette Dellanno – who has been linked to the Jets’ third-year quarterback since June 2022 — posted a series of snapshots taken throughout the month of July, including a trip to Nashville with Wilson’s family.
Dellanno, who hails from New Jersey, can be seen wearing a denim dress in a handful of photos, along with a No. 2 necklace, a nod to Wilson’s Jets number.
“Gorgeous love you,” Wilson’s mom, Lisa Wilson, commented on Dellanno’s post.
Prior to the Nashville trip, Dellanno and Wilson, 23, vacationed together in the Bahamas.
“Had a blast,” she gushed on Instagram in June.
Wilson is now gearing up for the Jets’ first preseason game Thursday against the Cleveland Browns in the NFL’s annual Hall of Fame game.
Jets coach Robert Saleh said Sunday that Wilson will start since the regulars won’t be playing.
Wilson, the second overall pick in 2021, is entering his first season in New York as the backup to four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers, who was traded to the team in April in a franchise-altering blockbuster.
The former BYU product, who has long looked up to Rodgers, 39, said in June he’s been “having a ton of fun” this offseason.
“I’m having a ton of fun — more fun than I’ve had,” Wilson said, “and I think that’s just the QB room, being with Aaron. I think it’s feeling like every single day there’s so much to, like, learn.”
Benched in his second year as a starter, Wilson stated earlier this summer he “can’t be bitter with the situation” as he “didn’t perform well.”
“Of course, I wish things had gone differently the past two years and I would have played amazing,” he said in June. “But I truly believe everything happens for a reason.”
Wilson then expressed how “appreciative” he is to have a mentor like Rodgers, who spent the first 18 years of his career with the Packers.
“I’m very appreciative of him and how much he is willing to help me because he doesn’t need to be that vocal,” Wilson said. “He is an amazing friend and, obviously, such an amazing quarterback. I am learning a lot of football.”
The Jets open the regular season on “Monday Night Football” against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 11.
