Fences Co-Rider of the Month

Natalie Jayne  South Carolina
So. Elign, IL
  • Jayne has been on fire for the Gamecocks throughout their first three meets, going undefeated in Fences and earning two MOPs throughout.
  • Her point against UC Davis gave South Carolina the 3-2 edge over the Aggies in the event, and the win against UT Martin contributed to a 5-0 sweep for her team.
  • Jayne kept it going against the defending single-discipline national champs of Lynchburg, putting up a huge 18 point spread win 85-67 and earning her third MOP of the season.

Fences Co-Rider of the Month

Devon Thomas   Texas A&M 
Sr. Millburn, N.J.
  • In only one meet this month, senior Thomas went 2-0 and picked up two MOPs in Flat and Fences as the Aggies went on to win 16-3 over #7 Baylor.

Flat Rider of the Month 

Natalie Jayne  South Carolina
So. Elign, IL 
  • Jayne had a huge start to the season, earning a point on the flat in an impressive nine-point spread with a 92-83 win.
  • The 92 is the third-highest flat score in program history (where she also holds the No. 2 spot after scoring a 93 early in the 2022-23 season) and earned her an MOP for the day – sweeping available MOPs in the Jumping Seat discipline against UC Davis.
  • Despite a close 83-85 defeat against UT Martin, Jayne’s score was still the second-highest score of the day in the event and the highest for her team.
  • Jayne rounded out the month of September with another huge eight-point spread win against the defending national champs of Lynchburg 87-79, earning her 4th MOP of the season, taking both MOPs in Jumping Seat for the second time this year.

Horsemanship Co-Rider of the Month

Caroline Fredenburg  Auburn 
So. Straughn, Ind.
  • Fredenburg helped the No. 2 Tigers go 4-1-0 vs. No. 9 UC Davis in Horsemanship, winning her point in the event.
  • She scored a 77 and was named MOP.

Horsemanship Co-Rider of the Month

Tierney Horton    South Carolina 
Jr. Larkspur, CO.
  • Horton had a standout ride in the Gamecocks’ home opener, putting up an impressive 7.5 spread win with a 72.5-65 victory to help South Carolina come out with a 4-1 win in Horsemanship which sealed the deal to win the meet.
  • She then continued her winning streak in an upward trend, earning her point against UT Martin with a season high of 73.

Reining Rider of the Month

Chloe Stephenson  South Carolina
Sr. West Jefferson, OH
  • Stephenson has had a standout start to the season, earning back-to-back MOPs in Reining, the first MOPs of her career.
  • Her first ride against the UC Davis Aggies was a big one, winning by eight 70.5-62.5 and earning the lone point in the event for the Gamecocks.
  • Stephenson continued her winning streak against UT Martin, putting up a 71-69 win and an MOP for her ride for the second time this year.
