As Toho’s titanic monster moves ever closer to our theaters with Godzilla: Minus One, the more we see of the radioactive reptile. This latest image is perhaps our best viewing of the King of the Monsters yet.
Kaiju Feet
The new image comes from a special issue of Japan’s SCREENa magazine (which was shared by Kaiju News Network), and we get a head-to-toe look at the beast in his natural habitat, wading through the destruction he’s caused.

The image’s perspective makes it seem like Godzilla has particularly big feet, but the redesign is still pretty impressive.
Directed by Takashi Yamazaki, this is Japan’s first live-action Godzilla movie since the excellent Shin Godzilla in 2016. It’s a more traditional blend of human drama and monster destruction in Post-War Japan. The Minus One moniker and time period suggest a reboot where Godzilla appears earlier than his original 1954 debut.
Godzilla Minus One is getting a Japanese release on November 3, 2023, with a Western release set for December 1, 2023.
It marks a bountiful period in the lead-up to Godzilla’s 70th anniversary in 2024 as the Apple TV series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and Godzilla X Kong also arrive in the near future.
