Summary
- Rematches in Cobra Kai season 6 could have very different outcomes due to character development and improved skills.
- Johnny Lawrence would likely have a better chance against Terry Silver, as Daniel was able to defeat him.
- Sam would likely defeat Tory in a fight now that her rival fights fair.
A lot has happened over the seasons of Cobra Kai, to the point that some of the biggest fights could go very differently if they happened in season 6. The Netflix series has seen the characters develop and change in various ways—some for better and others for worse. Lessons have been learned and techniques mastered since some of these battles, and the “losers” are likely to be even more motivated than they were the first time. Therefore, we may see very different results if Cobra Kai season 6 includes some rematches.
Cobra Kai has taken The Karate Kid franchise to a new level, throwing in several more epic karate battles than had ever been seen in the films. Each of the major characters has now been in a variety of fights, with their own wins and losses. Now, the Netflix series is going into its sixth and final season, which means this is the last chance for some rematches. Of course, every fight is different, and sometimes the results simply depend on the luck of the moment. This only adds to the fact that several fights in Cobra Kai would turn out very differently if the characters got a do-over.

Cobra Kai: New Cast & Returning Karate Kid Characters Guide
Cobra Kai has the perfect mix of classic Karate Kid legends and all-new characters. Here’s everyone you need to know in the hit Netflix series.
7 Johnny Lawrence vs. Terry Silver
If Daniel can beat Silver now, so can Johnny.
Johnny and Terry Silver faced off in a pretty epic fight in Cobra Kai season 4, but it was far from fair. Silver had launched a surprise attack on the Eagle Fang sensei, kicking him right in the head while he wasn’t looking. So, Johnny started the fight very disoriented. Silver took advantage of this in every way he could, and though Johnny tried to apply the defensive skills he had learned from Daniel, it was a no-go. Even in a fair fight, Silver is a formidable enemy, but Daniel proved in Cobra Kai season 5 that he can be taken down. Since Daniel and Johnny are pretty evenly matched, this indicates that a rematch would see a very different outcome for Silver.
6 Chozen Toguchi vs. Terry Silver
Chozen would have won if he hadn’t gotten distracted.
Perhaps the best fight of Cobra Kai season 5 is the match between Chozen Toguchi and Terry Silver. Both men were out for blood, and the use of blades like a katana and sai meant the risk (and excitement) was far higher. Though Chozen and Silver seemed evenly matched, the former had the edge for the majority and even had a victory for a short moment. Unfortunately, Silver wasn’t afraid to play dirty, and he took advantage of Chozen’s distraction to land what could have easily become a fatal blow. Thankfully, Chozen survived season 5, and after that fight, there’s no way he would allow himself to take his eyes off Silver for even a second if they got a rematch.
5 Sam Larusso vs. Tory Nichols At The High School Fight
Tory now fights fair and Sam has grown considerably.
Sam and Tory are another Cobra Kai rivalry that has been more or less evenly matched. Daniel’s daughter has a few more losses under her belt, mainly because Tory was willing to fight dirty for so long. When it came to the school fight in Cobra Kai season 2, Tory brought spiked iron knuckles that left Sam terrified. The entire experience was rather traumatizing, which Tory has come to regret. Now, the girls have far more respect for one another, and after realizing that Silver cheated to ensure her All-Valley win, Tory will fight as fairly as possible in the next match. Ultimately, this would mean that Sam would take home the win instead.
4 Daniel LaRusso vs. Chozen Toguchi
Now Daniel and Chozen both know the Miyagi pressure point technique.
Daniel and Chozen’s first big battle happened back in The Karate Kid Part 2, and it was Mr. Miyagi’s pupil who got the win. However, a lot has changed since then, and when the pair were reunited in Japan in Cobra Kai, Chozen had an unmistakable edge. He defeated Daniel again and again until he finally pulled out the secret Miyagi pressure point technique that numbed his enemy’s limbs. Thankfully, Chozen only used Daniel’s defenselessness to honk his nose, thus getting revenge for their fight 30 years previous. Now, the fact that Daniel won against Silver while Chozen lost indicates that a rematch in Cobra Kai season 5 would see Daniel again come out on top.
3 Robby Keene vs. Hawk At The All-Valley Tournament
Robby is the stronger fighter now that he is back with Miyagi-Do.
Robby and Hawk’s championship fight at the All-Valley Tournament in Cobra Kai season 4 was one of the more evenly matched of the series. The two were in a unique situation since they were fighting for the dojo the other had been part of longer. They knew all the same techniques, and it showed in how they reacted to one another’s attacks. This led the fight to go into sudden death, where the intensity of the battle was taken up to another level entirely. Hawk wound up taking home the trophy, but this wouldn’t have been the case if Robby hadn’t become so conflicted about the example he was setting for Kenny Payne. With Robby no longer fighting for the bad guys in Cobra Kai season 6, he would be far more balanced in a rematch.
2 Johnny Lawrence vs. John Kreese
Johnny now understands how to balance offense with defense.
Johnny Lawrence and John Kreese’s fight in Cobra Kai season 3 was extremely brutal, with both men out for blood at different points during the battle. Johnny chose mercy when the going got tough, proving just how much he had learned over the years. Unfortunately, the same wasn’t true for Kreese, who came close to killing Johnny after pinning him to the ground. It was only because Daniel showed up in the knick of time that his battle didn’t take a turn for the worse. A couple of seasons later, Johnny has a better balance regarding offense and defense, which puts him at less of a disadvantage against a merciless fight like Kreese.

After the events of Cobra Kai season 5, redemption may almost seem impossible for Kreese, but one character can still save from his downward spiral.
1 Hawk vs. Kenny At The Sekai Taikai Qualifier
Kenny only won the Sekai Taikai match because of Silver’s interference.
The qualifying matches for the Sekai Taikai were a nightmare for Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang since Terry Silver had bribed the referee. Therefore, when Hawk and Kenny faced off, it was far from fair. Hawk had been studying karate far longer than his opponent and was older and stronger too. However, his confidence faltered when his points weren’t counted because the referee falsely declared it out of bounds. Combine this with Kenny’s willingness to play dirty and the match quickly fell apart. With Silver out of the way and Kenny now aware that his sensei had cheated, a rematch will likely go very differently in Cobra Kai season 6.
