The Chicago White Sox are hoping to return to relevance in the 2024 season.

In 2023, things could not have gone much worse for them.

They entered the season with expectations of winning the AL Central.

But, their inability to stay healthy and a lack of depth doomed them early on.

There were not many positives to come out of the 2023 White Sox season except for outfielder Luis Robert Jr.

Surprisingly enough, he was one of the few players to stay healthy for the full year.

That resulted in him having a career year and inserting his name into the conversation of MLB’s best outfielders.

According to Sarah Langs, Robert became the second player in team history to have a 30+ home run and 20+ steal season.

Robert spent the early parts of his career often on the injured list.

Last season was the first time in his four-year career that he played over 100 games in a season.

Robert played in 145 games en route to a Silver Slugger Award.

He ended the season hitting a career-high 38 home runs while driving in 80.

Robert is set to enter his age-26 season and he is hoping for more good health.

If the White Sox have any chance at competing it will have to come with the help of Robert.

He has all the skills to be an MVP-level player.

But, playing 140+ games in back-to-back seasons is not something he has shown us he can do.

The White Sox want Robert to be a player they can build around.

Next season will go a long way in showing he can be that guy.
